Julius Bokor graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Architecture. He initially worked with Sabemo/Transfield to learn the practical side of design and building construction before travfelling to Rome to work for TAC, an architectural firm established by Walter Gropius. His understanding of and interest in the genesis and development of cities, was born in Rome.
Returning to Sydney he taught for some years before establishing his own practice in 1980. It was then that he was able to develop his unique style based on his belief that building design is influenced by technology, materials and cultural values. Julius is interested in the ideas that generate cities and buildings and make them pleasurable.
Julius believes the integrity of design and building form is generated by a solid understanding of the client brief. This philosophy is at the basis of everything he design.
