Building Upgrade, 1 Chifley Square, Sydney

Originally called Qantas House and designed by Felix Tavener of Rudder Littlemore & Rudder, 1 Chifley Square is an 18 storey tower in Sydney CBD. This iconic Sydney building was designed in the 1950s and features a curved glass facade.

Working from the ground floor up, bokor architecture + interiors were engaged to deliver a new foyer which included new lift cars and bathroom amenities as well as upgrading all of the empty levels in readiness for new commercial tenants.

bokor looked to the buildings past to deliver the design which included a curved feature in the foyer floor which mirrored the architectural facade and a stunning perforated metal screen which chartered the first Qantas long distance flight.
