Russell Reserve Amenity Building, Rouse Hill, NSW

The Russell Reserve Amenity Building was a concept design prepared by bokor architecture & interiors for the construction of a new sports amenities building at Rouse Hill, NSW.

Our brief was to provide the local residents with a new facility that included private change rooms for local sporting teams, kiosk,  public toilets, playground and a shaded viewing area/outdoor space along with a new carpark accessed off Withers Road. The new building was sited to be readily accessible for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic and is located to the main sports oval.

Our goal was to create a visually striking contemporary building that corresponded well within the heavily vegetated surrounding area of the precinct.  To achieve this, we utilised a pitched skillion roof with highlight windows facing north to maximize the natural light into the communal spaces of the building whilst providing ample shading to the outdoor spaces.
